Nathaniel Garza Exhibition

Nathaniel Garza (b. 2005) was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He began painting at a young age, showing an early gift that led him into local shows and award recognition. His career took a meaningful step forward when The Bryan Museum selected his work for the cover of the I Am Texas publication, an honor he credits as the true beginning of his artistic path.

Though he has studied with artists such as Elizabeth Locke, Kyle Ma, and Jack Sorenson, Nathaniel remains largely self-taught. His practice is built on daily discipline, working through trial and error, and letting each canvas refine his eye and technique.

Nathaniel is represented by Hindes Fine Art, where his work hangs alongside notable contemporary Western artists. He has also led workshops and continues to grow his practice through travel across Texas. Time spent on the road with his father, a truck driver, has shaped much of his visual memory. The landscapes they have crossed together, combined with his strong sense of inherited memory and imagination, inform the scenes he paints today.

His work reflects a quiet reverence for the land, the people, and the stories that shaped him.
