In the lineage of Levitan, Serov, and Polenov, Vladimir Kirillov paints the Russian landscape as living memory. A river bends through golden steppe as it has for centuries. Light dissolves through birch canopy onto still water. Frost silvers a bank before dawn. These paintings hold the weight of places that endure — quiet, ancient, and profoundly alive.

About the Artist
Vladimir Kirillov was born in Moscow in 1980. He studied at Moscow Pedagogical University, graduating in 2002, and has been a member of the Creative Artists’ Union of Russia since 2003.
In 2009, his paintings were exhibited at the Office of the President of the Russian Federation and the State Duma — among the most prestigious exhibition venues in Russia. The following year, he was selected for the 150th anniversary tribute to Isaac Levitan, “Traditions of Russian Landscape,” at Moscow’s Central House of Artists — a direct acknowledgment of his place within the great Russian landscape tradition.
He has received multiple medals from the Creative Artists’ Union of Russia and is included in the Art-Index list of Best Contemporary Artists of Russia. His brushwork is at once textural and atmospheric — a painter who sees not just the landscape, but the memory it holds.
