Maria is the daughter of the Johah Cederlund, director of the Zorn Museum in Mora, Sweeden. Several years ago my husband and I made a trip to the museum, and Maria spent one day painting with me. She was an outstanding student. This image was painted from a photo taken by her mother, Constanza. When the photograph was sent to me in a message, I knew instantly how I might be able to repay Dr. Cederlund's kindness over the years. I knew this was special to Constanza and I wanted repay their many kindnesses by painting the image for them.
