Karen McCauley and accomplished Artist and Teacher with over 30 years of
experience. A master of of traditional oil painting she has expanded her expertise to
include acrylics and mixed media bringing depth and versatility to her work. She has
studied with some of the finest instructors in the country refining her craft. Her formal
studies include drawing painting, design, and print making.

Passionate about about sharing her knowledge Karen begin teaching weekly classes at the Coppini Academy of
fine art in San Antonio. There she inspires in mentors the next generation of fine artist.
Class description fun for any level. We will use mixed media collage, using acrylics with
a fun day of choosing and making materials to use in your layering process. You will
then begin adding and subtracting using paint color and collage. You’ll develop your
skills using design principles. These will help you complete a finished work of art.

Supply List:

• Colors: your favorite.
• Black and white gesso
• gel medium.
• Brushes – a variety
• Collage papers. I will have plenty to share.
• Tools credit cards’ sticks any mark making tool.
• Charcoal, colored pencils. Crayons etc tape, scissors, water container (large)
• Bring what you have I share.
