That workshop will be a small landscape with a focus on tree construction: how to see the shape of a tree, how to divide into proper clumps, how to blend or not to blend within the clumps, the color shifts in shadows and lights, how to get the round form into a tree, how to handle edges between the sky and the tree, how to see leaf patterns and transpose them into brush strokes.

Video presentations will present principles of painting and demonstrations will proceed students working on their own canvas with instructor moving individually around the room.

2,4,5,6, flat, bristle. Fan brush, round sable to sign.
