Any of us can learn to draw. Once we do, our eyes see a different more graceful world. From the simplest and easy to master concepts, this course builds on each lesson to advance anyone to become a competent draftsman. Students are encouraged not to miss any of the lessons in the session. What you learn will amaze you.

Drawing isn’t just for artists. It’s a gateway into observation and recognition of beauty. Hindes Fine Art and Atelier is thrilled to have Lourdes Maria Ong as the instructor for Drawing Made Easy, a new course to our curriculum.

Drawing holds a special place as the cornerstone of visual arts. It is a fundamental skill that serves as a foundation for various artistic disciplines, including painting, illustration, sculpture, and design. Through drawing, we develop our ability to observe, interpret, and communicate our unique perspectives.

We recognize that everyone starts somewhere, and that’s why it’s specifically designed for beginners. Whether you have never picked up a pencil before or have dabbled in drawing but wish to refine your skills, this course will provide a supportive environment to help you grow. We will guide you step by step, introducing you to the fundamental principles of drawing and provide valuable feedback on your progress.

Through a combination of brief, concise lessons and hands-on exercises, you will learn about the importance of line, form, gesture, value, and perspective. You will gain confidence in your ability to depict objects, landscapes, people, and still life.

Student critique with instructor feedback.

By the end of this course, you will have acquired a solid foundation in drawing, enabling you to express your creativity with newfound confidence. Whether you plan to pursue a career in the arts or simply want to enjoy drawing as a fulfilling hobby, this course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to take your artistic journey to new heights.
